Well, the board does show up now, so that's a good thing, right? I do hope that we'll get more fans soon I hope so, but the Bertolf forum is there now if anybody stumbles across his music and wants to find out more and cannot speak Dutch. I think with time it might slowly gain members. Obviously, I think he's a musical genius, but others don't seem to share my belief. I've mentioned the board to Canadian, English, French and German friends, but I suppose that they think Bertolf is a funny name and don't care to even try to listen, or else they listen but don't think his music is great enough to want to join a fan forum and give us new international representation. Obviously, everyone has different musical tastes. I don't like the fact that 90% of the posts at the forum are by me, even when I only know about him from internet research! Cyn, I'm glad you, Joyce and Steph are there. Saskia is cool too to come over from her Hyves fan site and post. Since he's almost exclusively known in Holland, most of the Dutch fans probably prefer to converse in Dutch, not English. And, for the same reason, any would-be fans from other countries simply haven't heard of Bertolf yet. I think, as more of his music gets heard, THAT will gain him fans. Steph joined as well I sort of convinced Steph to be the 14th member , since we had an unlucky 13 members for about a week.

It's a month later and there are still only 14 members and only two countries, NL and US, represented. Bertolf appeared on Giel again on Monday and he and the band did an excellent cover of "Beggin'" by Madcon: HQ

Thanks, Cynni. I appreciate the votes! ;D
We're not expecting Bertolf to win - actually there's a whole other page of persons ahead of him. I just wanted to move him up the list so he might gain a few more "followers" - perhaps make the first page - I'm not thinking that is going to happen, though.

Thanks sweety! I guess my poor votes will not matter much in the big picture, but at least I can say that I've done my best to vote for him

Well, it's already helped a lot, I say. Because of your help, he moved today about six places higher on the list and he's gained about five new "followers" on Twitter: not a bad result to a kinda silly contest, if it helps spread the knowledge of his music.

Hey! Bertolf is singing about my home state! HQThe song is "California" originally written and sung by Rufus Wainwright.

Hihi, cool Thanks for sharing sweets. BTW. I am still busy voting when ever I have the time Hope it helps I think it definitely helped, Cynni , so thank you for your votes. Thanks to the others here who voted. He started late in the contest and quickly moved all the way from page 18 to page 2. From there, he climbed only slowly. The contest is over just a few hours from now, and he didn't ever make it to the first page. Many of the Dutch fans simply weren't doing ANY voting, which was disappointing to me. Maybe they thought it was a silly contest or that he didn't have a chance to win, but it's never silly to "get the name out there."
