So, who here has ever seen my absolute all time favorit movie "The Goonies"? Or am I the only weirdo who loves this movie? I have seriously seen this flick over at least 100 times. For those of you that don't know: the movie stars Sean Astin who nowadays is ofcourse most known for his great role as Samwise Gamgee in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I first saw this movie in 1987 I think. I was about 10 years old and head over heels in love with "Mikey" (the character played by Sean Astin). My first crush ;D. One of my life goals is still to visit the town of Astoria (Oregon, USA) where part of the movie was shot. Who knows, maybe one day we'll go there on a family vacation....

I sooo love the Goonies! One of my absolute favourite movies. When I was younger even the video store commented about how many times I've rent the movie hahaha. And as soon as I saw it was on sale on dvd I just HAD to buy it!! Funny thing as I was probably the same age when I first saw the movie..which isn't so weird as we are both the same age I didn't even know "Mikey" played in the Lord of the Rings! Gosh! It is such a great and funny movie..okay maybe now you would say more of a kids movie..but it was a very exciting movie..going treasure hunting..and I still like it a lot. I also had to laugh a lot about Chuck and Mouth..the little bugger with scaring the Spanish woman hahaha. Uhmm okay I do sound a bit too excited maybe...but besides liking the movie..it also brings back great memories of me being a kid while watching the movie That's really great Sjak that you like that movie also a lot...I haven't heard a lot of people talking about the movie..so I was happily surprised you made a topic about the movie ;D

It's really been ages since I saw this movie.... I've seen so many others in the meantime that it is kinda a blur on how the movie went exactly... Sorry....

I still have my first copy of the Goonies on video somewhere in the attic. That was the tape I watched for about 100 times and the last time I watched it the sound was all wonky, the picture was grainy and the videotape itself made an awful squeeking noise. Thank god for dvd huh?! ;D @cynni: you don't remember how the movie went? Well, it went a little something like this: (jailhouse guard opens cell doors) Lunchtime! The longer you animals bark, the colder your lunch gets. You too down there Hey turkey (guard enters cell and reads note on man that has apparently hung himself) You schmuck You really think I'd be stupid enough to kill myself Kill myself??? (guard looks up and is surprised to see the dead man very much alive and is then knocked unconsious) Then the prisoner (Jake Fratelli) runs from the jailhouse (shoddy security : to his mother and brother who are waiting outside for him. Some arguing about the locked car door ensues between the brothers and then Jake dives into the car (or as Chunk would say: "a four wheel deal, it was this real neat ORV") through the sun roof. A big car chase follows and there's some shooting and stuff. In the end the Fratelli's get away by driving into an ORV race on the beach which has lots of similar cars to theirs so the cops can't spot them anymore. Need I go on? ;D If you ever wanna see it again just let me know. I'll be happy to lend it to you, or maybe watch it together. I never say no to a chance to see the Goonies

All these years later i find out it had cut off the first few minutes. I think my brother has it on dvd so will have to borrow it off of him
