well, I guess we'd need to bring our air bed and sleeping bags and pillows. I just "hope" you'll be able to sleep in for a while so we;ll not be awakened by you singing along with your radio at 9 am

I saw it last week. I've read all the books, although it has been a while since I've read them and certainly book 6. I've only read them once through so far. I tend to read books very carefully and thoroughly the first time but that doesn't mean I won't re-read them. I've seen all the movies and have 1-4 on tape (omg! - think just the 1st one though) or DVD. I was a bit anxious and really wanted to see the 6th movie. In the past, it kind of became a tradition to go with a group (my dancers and there mums) but no one is around and it seems this time, I'd have to go by myself if I wanted to see it in the theatre. Steve, it would have been great if we could have gone together or if I could have gone with some of you - too bad I live so far away . Anyways, I found someone to go with me and we enjoyed it. Personally, I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it was really well done and as it has been a while since I read the book, I couldn't tell what was missing. I did look at the chapter headings before I went just to jog my memory and as I was watching the moive, the story came to back to me and I had no problem with it making sense. It didn't seem as "dark" as I expected. The 4th movie had me squirming in my seat the most I think hehe. Alan Rickman is a fantastic actor - he is Snape! I am glad the movies have had JK Rowling's stamp of approval. I understand what some of you are saying about movie adaptions changing original stories. One thing to adpat and alter the story to fit an allotted time and avoid an over-lengthy film but do change it - ah that bugs me. On the whole, I think the various producers/directors have done a pretty good job bringing the books to life on screen. The actors have certainly done a great job of bringing the characters to life. I'm glad they are going to make the 7th book into two parts (even though it is going to be hard to wait that long in between the two) so they can portay the detail in the last book properly. Just kind of wish they could make it all...and then show them a little closer together.

Seeing how long it took us the last time, I guess early is better... So we don't have to run this time to make it to the movie in time
